Rushmore Rotarians helped to install a Peace Pole next to the Rotary Gazebo at Story Book Island on April 21, 2026. The words on the pole, May Peace Prevail On Earth, are written in four languages, with one language on each side - English, Lakota, German, and Japanese. Peace poles are intended to inspire us to reflect on what we can do to promote peace.
