Our speakers this morning were Lysann Zeller and Ria Hannon, who work with the Rapid City Sustainability Committee. We learned about Booms (one key point: do NOT throw lithium batteries in your garbage as they can start fires), Blooms (the city is planting more flowers to attract pollinators) and Beautiful Skies (light pollution wastes energy)! Also, did you know Badlands National Park has been named an International Dark Sky Park?
